
Pakistan Women’s Cricket Team Set for Sri Lanka Tour in July 2026
The Pakistan women’s cricket team is all set to travel to Sri Lanka next month for an exciting six-match white-ball series in Hambantota. The tour will feature both One Day Internationals (ODIs) and T20 Internationals (T20Is), giving cricket fans a thrilling contest between the two Asian sides.
According to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), all matches of the series will be played at the Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket Stadium in Hambantota.
The ODI leg of the tour will begin on July 23, followed by the second and third matches on July 25 and July 28. These ODI games are also part of the ICC Women’s Championship 2025-29, making the series highly important for both teams.
Pakistan women’s team has shown impressive form in the championship so far. The Green Shirts currently hold second position on the points table with eight points after winning four out of their six matches. New Zealand remain at the top of the standings with 13 points, although they have played more matches than Pakistan.
After the ODI series, both teams will face off in a three-match T20I series scheduled for July 31, August 2, and August 4.
Interestingly, both Pakistan and Sri Lanka women’s squads are currently in the United Kingdom for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, which is set to begin on June 12. The upcoming bilateral series is expected to further strengthen preparations for future international tournaments.
Looking at the head-to-head record in T20Is, Pakistan have a slight advantage. Out of 21 T20 matches played between the two sides, Pakistan have won 11 while Sri Lanka secured victory in nine games. One match ended without a result.
In the ODI format, Sri Lanka have historically dominated the rivalry. The two teams have played 34 ODIs against each other, with Pakistan winning 11 matches and Sri Lanka claiming victory in 22 encounters. One ODI ended in no result.
